Ray and Pura chose to celebrate their 30 years together in a way that felt intentional and true to them, with an anniversary photoshoot at Sydney’s Kamay Botany Bay National Park. After three decades of shared memories, they wanted something that captured who they are today: comfortable, connected, and deeply in tune with one another.
For Pura, this had been a dream for a long time. She had always wanted professional photos of the two of them, not posed, not staged, but natural images that showed the ease and closeness they’ve built over the years. And Ray, with his quiet warmth, was right by her side, making the session feel effortless.
Kamay Botany Bay gave us the perfect backdrop. The cliffs, the soft coastal light, and the wide open views created a timeless setting. a reminder of how love, much like the ocean, is both powerful and steady. They walked hand in hand, shared quiet laughs, and simply enjoyed being present with one another.
My role was to guide them gently, giving space for the little moments to unfold while capturing the connection they share. After 30 years together, they didn’t need much direction, their bond spoke louder than anything I could ask them to do.
If you’ve been thinking about celebrating your own milestone, whether it’s one year or fifty, an anniversary photoshoot is such a beautiful way to pause and honour your journey together. I’d love to help tell your story there too.
