I was born in Colombia and made Australia my home in 2008. Over the years, I’ve come to understand that photographs do more than document a moment. They carry emotion. They allow you to return to a chapter of your life and feel it again.
My understanding of love began at home. I grew up watching my parents choose each other every single day. Their marriage was not defined by a wedding alone, but by the constant commitment to keep showing up for one another. That shaped the way I see connection.
Losing my dad just eight days before my own wedding gave that perspective even deeper meaning. My wedding day held joy and grief at the same time. What stayed with me most was not only the images, but the way my photographers supported us with patience and kindness. They allowed space for emotion without rushing the experience.
That moment shaped me, both personally and professionally. It shaped the kind of photographer I choose to be for my couples.
