Cameron reached out weeks before, determined to make a moment unforgettable. Emerson had organised a weekend getaway to the Hunter Valley, and he knew it was the perfect time to propose. Her request was simple but meaningful, she wanted someone to capture it.
Together, we planned the details: location, time, her favourite flowers. But there was one thing we couldn’t control — the weather. On the day, the rain came down harder than expected. Still, there was no turning back. The moment was going to happen, rain or shine.
Hunter Valley Gardens became the perfect backdrop for their story. Under umbrellas and with the soft mist around them, Cameron asked the question, and Emerson said yes. There was something deeply beautiful about the intimacy of that rainy moment, it made the proposal feel even more real and alive.
As a photographer, my job isn’t just to take pictures, it’s to capture the emotions, the laughter, the quiet breaths, and the genuine moments. That day was about love, courage, and embracing whatever comes your way. Rain didn’t stop them, it became part of their story.
Congratulations to Cameron and Emerson. If you’ve been dreaming of a surprise proposal or want to make sure your engagement moment is captured no matter what, I’d love to help make it happen for you too.
